So far this winter we have had just two frosts here.... just two! The grass has barely stopped growing and the midges have never stopped flying, there is always a down side. The garden is well ahead of itself.
Plenty of snowdrops
Plenty of daffs, some are even over!
Glorious hellebores
Not strictly a flower but this hebe adds a delightful splash of colour.
Quite a few of the clematis are budding but this one an alpine is clearly getting an early start, I can't wait to see this plant bloom, its in its first year here but I fear it may get caught by a frost at some point.
It may have been a mild winter but it has been an exceptionally wet one. Gary and the girls are in high spirits after a few dry days. If you want to know how wet it has been here a fellow blogger describes it very well in his most recent post;
